Christmas morning -- Augusta, Georgia
Bonjour to all on the 25th of December and I hope that you are having a joyous holiday season however you may celebrate it.
I am with my family in Augusta and the visit is rich in love and lessons. My daughter, Julia has just returned from Rome after spending the fall there studying. My daughter, Cazenove and her husband and children are full of the youthful joy of Christmas with a two and four year old. Mary Bryan is up from Savannah also and has cooked the majority of the Christmas meal. My mother is happy to have us all together.
This painting is "Isobel's Roses" and roses are a large part of my painting world, as well as a favored fragrance...The suitcase is another important symbol for me as I intend to begin some traveling in 2009. Destination unknown at the moment, but I will keep you posted.

Morning musings--coral vine series
1.Silent shadows sit on a peaceful, golden floor.
Morning light glows through vines on the porch
As dangling coral vines shimmer with the slightest gentle movement.
2.Dainty pink fronds
cling and dangle-
Curvilinear-waves and weavings
3.Morning sunlight softly
illuminates coral vine on porch-
Heart shaped leaves
meander on the screens-
soft, translucent, mint green
