Empress Paulownia
This pale purple blossom hangs like wisteria or foxglove from this tree during the month of March. It is a small tree but the large fronds have almost crepe paper clusters of blooms.

Succulents and a giraffe
Here is one of my latest watercolors painted for a friend's husband to honor his thriving collection of succulents that he tends beautifully. The little wooden giraffe adds a nice touch!

Greg and I worked on this collaborative project Winter 2008. We first met when I saw Greg's restoration work at a friend's house. Then I bought the house across the street from his and asked him to help me convert my garage into a studio. This is our very satisfying creation--four years later. It is located in Savannah Georgia and private viewings may be arranged ahead of time.

David Hockney Royal Academy 2012

Enjoy Hockney's youtube of his current exhibit of his i-Pad creations at the Royal Academy:
The Royal Academy of Arts presents the first major exhibition of new landscape works by David Hockney RA. Featuring vivid paintings inspired by the East Yorkshire landscape, these large-scale works have been created especially for the galleries at the Royal Academy of Arts.
'David Hockney RA: A Bigger Picture' spans a 50 year period to demonstrate Hockney’s long exploration and fascination with the depiction of landscape.
The exhibition includes a display of his iPad drawings and a series of new films produced using 18 cameras, which are displayed on multiple screens and provide a spellbinding visual journey through the eyes of David Hockney.

Saint Mark is the patron saint of Venice which was founded on March 25th, 421, the day of the Annunciation of the birth of Christ. It is a city born in the sea, a Christian Venus born after the fall of Roman Empire. This particular church is Santa Maria della Salute. Ahhhh!! Due credit to Time To Us blogger-many thanks!
