C'est...Savannah Porch- Baldwin House

This porch, with its Romanesque Revival arches and terra cotta details, is a microcosm of a great Savannah house. The Queen Anne house was built in 1887 for George Baldwin, a pioneer in the urban philanthropic sense. He brought street cars and electric lighting to the city and the neighborhood, Baldwin Park, with its round park on Atlantic Avenue, is named after him. The esplanade of palm trees along Atlantic carry you down to the Savannah Arts Academy... and almost to the Riviera... My watercolor shows a taste of the warm pinks, rusts, reds that make up the exterior. For further curiosity you may find the house on the corner of Hall and Lincoln Streets.
